Summary

  • We collect the information you give us, such as your name, contact details, and resume text, and a limited amount of technical information needed to operate and secure the site.
  • We use it to respond to you, to provide recruiting services, to run the referral program, and to send the monthly list of open roles if you subscribe.
  • We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
  • The site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies, and Ghost web analytics, which does not. We do not use advertising cookies. Application and job posting pages are operated by our applicant tracking system provider, which uses its own cookies and tracking technologies.
  • You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information by using our contact form, calling (844) 930-3462 (toll free), or writing to us at the address below.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Applications. When you apply, you provide information such as your name, email address, telephone number, location, work history, education, skills, security clearance status, citizenship or work authorization, and resume text. Applications are submitted through Loxo, our applicant tracking system, which processes this information on our behalf.
  • Contact form. Your name, email address, telephone number (optional), the type of inquiry, and your message.
  • Referrals. Your name, email address, and telephone number, and the name, email address, telephone number, and background of the person you refer, along with how you know them. If you submit a referral, you confirm that you know the person and have a reasonable basis to share their contact information with us.
  • Referral bonus payments. If a referral bonus becomes payable, we collect the information required to pay it and to meet tax reporting obligations, such as a taxpayer identification number. We request this information separately and do not collect it through the site.
  • Mailing list. Your email address. We add it to the list only after you confirm it through a link we send you.
  • Communications. Information you share with us by telephone, email, or messaging app.

Some information we collect, such as citizenship or immigration status and security clearance status, is considered sensitive under some state laws. We use it only to assess eligibility for positions, and we do not use it to infer other characteristics about you.

Resumes can be uploaded through the application. We do not accept file attachments by email or through our contact forms. Please do not send us sensitive information that we have not asked for, such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, medical information, or classified or controlled information.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting and security providers automatically process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request, and the date and time of the request. This information is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and keep the site secure. Our contact and referral forms use Google reCAPTCHA to distinguish people from automated programs. reCAPTCHA is provided by Google and is subject to the Google privacy policy and terms of service. Form submissions are processed by Basin, our form service provider. The email sign-up and subscription management are provided by Ghost, our website platform.

Our own pages do not use advertising cookies or advertising tracking pixels. Fonts and images are served from our own site. The site uses two analytics tools to understand how visitors use it.

Ghost web analytics is built into Ghost, our website platform. It does not use cookies or other persistent browser storage. It records the pages viewed, the site that referred you, your approximate country (estimated from your browser's time zone), and your browser and device type. If you are signed in as a subscriber, it also records your subscriber identifier. The data is processed by Ghost and its analytics provider, Tinybird, and is stored in the European Union.

Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC. It uses cookies to distinguish visitors and records information such as the pages viewed, the time spent on them, the site that referred you, your approximate location, and your browser and device type. Google receives your IP address in order to provide the service. We have turned off Google signals and the sharing of Google Analytics data with Google's advertising products, so this data is not used for advertising. Google Analytics event data is kept for 2 months. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google's use of this data is described in the Google privacy policy.

Application and job posting pages are operated by Loxo, our applicant tracking system provider. These pages may appear on Loxo's website or embedded within our site. Loxo uses its own cookies and tracking technologies on those pages, which may include analytics, advertising, and social media tools. We do not control these technologies, and Loxo's use of them is governed by the Loxo privacy policy. Your browser settings can limit or block third-party cookies.

We may use Google Search Console, which reports how the site appears in Google search results and does not run on this site.

Information from other sources

We may receive information about you from people who refer you, from our client companies (for example, interview feedback), and from professional information you have made publicly available, such as an online professional profile.

How we use information

  • To respond to your inquiries and requests.
  • To provide recruiting services, including evaluating your background against current and future searches, contacting you about opportunities, and introducing you to employers.
  • To administer the referral bonus program, including confirming referrals, paying bonuses, and meeting tax obligations.
  • To send the list of open roles, approximately once a month, if you have subscribed.
  • To contact you by telephone about your inquiry or about opportunities. We do not send marketing text messages, and we do not use automated dialing systems.
  • To operate, maintain, and secure the site, and to detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

How we share information

  • Employers. We share candidate information with prospective employers as part of our recruiting services.
  • Service providers. We use service providers to host the site, protect it against abuse, process form submissions, send email, and manage applications. Loxo processes application data on our behalf. Service providers may use the information only to provide services to us, and we remain responsible for it under this policy.
  • Professional advisers. We may share information with professional advisers, such as lawyers, accountants, and tax advisers, where needed.
  • Legal requirements. We may share information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Task Force Talent, our clients, candidates, or others.
  • Business transfers. We may share information in connection with a merger, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.

How long we keep information

  • Candidate submissions, including applications, resumes, and referrals: for as long as they may help us place the candidate in the future. We sometimes place candidates several years after we first speak with them.
  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record of the unsubscribe so that we do not email you again.
  • Referral bonus payment records: for as long as tax law requires.

If you ask us to delete your candidate record or remove you from the mailing list, we will do so, except for records we are required by law to keep.

How we protect information

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections to the site, access controls, and a policy of not opening file attachments sent by email. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from the monthly list of open roles at any time using the link in any message. You can ask us to stop contacting you about opportunities.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws, such as the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising (we do neither). Whether or not a particular law applies to us, we will respond to requests to access, correct, or delete your information from any person, subject to legal exceptions, such as records we must keep for tax or legal purposes.

  • How to make a request. Use our contact form, call (844) 930-3462 (toll free), or write to the address below.
  • Verification. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request, normally by confirming information we already hold.
  • Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may ask for proof of the agent's authority and may ask you to verify your identity directly.
  • Response time. We aim to respond within 45 days.
  • Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. We will respond to the appeal in writing.
  • No discrimination. We will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.

Health data

We do not seek to collect consumer health data, as defined in Washington's My Health My Data Act. Please do not include health information in forms or applications. If you request an accommodation, we collect only the information needed to arrange it, use it only for that purpose, and share it with an employer only with your permission.

Children

The site and our services are intended for adults seeking employment and for employers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us, and we will delete it.

Visitors outside the United States

We are based in the United States. We and our service providers may process information in the United States and in other countries. Data protection law in those places may differ from the law where you live.

Third-party sites

The site links to, and may embed, services run by others. Loxo, which hosts our application and job posting pages, processes application data on our behalf and uses its own cookies and tracking technologies, as described above. For other services linked from the site, their own privacy policies apply.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
